babymania

So, today my parents so kindly came over and helped us start getting ready for baby.
My dad installed a closet organizer and it looks FANTASTIC....i'm sooooooo excited that it's installed and can't wait for hubby to paint the patches and then i can start to get it ready...woot!
My mom helped me organize my closet and i had gotten some bins to start the process, then we tackled the kitchen....way easier then i was thinking it was going to be. So we have one cabinet shelf that is all for baby and it currently has a bottle sitting in it. :) Then we hit the pantry and i have a half of a shelf for all things baby.

Doing these two things helped big time make me feel a-that this baby is 100% real - i mean, not that it wasn't real before, but like baby is really coming in a few months and b-made us both way excitied that baby is coming and things are getting done.

Jewel Osco is suppose to be having their freezer deal, so we'll be getting one of those so i can make and freeze baby food.....woot! So, cleaning out the garage is the next thing on the list.....

To many people, this is all boring and so not neat -- to me, i find all these things have helped me breathe a little more....and looks like hubby and i might start registering monday, since we both have off, and then i won't have to take a personal day...yeah! That will be great cuz then i can stop researching and reading reviews and reports on what we're looking at (cribs, strollers, car seats, pack and play, etc) to make sure it's okay. So far, things are looking good....now it's finding a color we both agree on. I could care less on color, but i want color--just not pink or blue blue.... i want to keep it a more neutral color - red, orange, yellow, green etc. Hubby wants black....which i said, that's fine, but i want some color to it. So the two travel strollers we like --one is black and orangeish/red and one is grey and green or we could do grey and light yellow. So, we'll see.

Let the babymania begin!

  1. YAY!!! Can your parents come help ME organize now? lol
I made baby food for both Colin & Alex, but with Kelsey, we skipped the purees and did baby led weaning, which I LOVED! It made life so much easier for us! I was actually just reading some posts about some of the baby food makers, and it sounds like the baby bullet, and the baby brezza aren't the greatest, but there were LOTS of reccomendations for the Beaba Babycook steamer/processor from Williams-Sonoma. Just something to keep in mind. (You could also just use a normal food processor too. lol)
